Event Details

Mini conference – Ethically treating adolescents in trauma.

This training will take a look at how to ethically address Adolescents behaviors and to assist individuals who work with them. We will not only discuss the Adverse Childhood Experiences study, but also dive into understanding the brain development and epigenetics of a person who has experienced trauma. We will help explain the connection between brain development and adaptive behaviors in people who have experienced trauma, specifically looking at the brain developing through the adolescent years. This training will also discuss resiliency and how to build Adolescents coping skills. Each participant will leave with a better understanding of their role in building self-healing communities from the brain up!
