Subject: COVID-19 Update
Date: March 13, 2020
To our valued clients, prospective clients and professional colleagues
At Catholic Social Services we understand the growing concern surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, and we have been deliberating on the best way we can serve you, our community and our region.
While our patrons come from all walks of life, we also serve those who are vulnerable and in anxious times such as these might have few places to turn. We are, after all, a faith based organization made of people committed to act as the Good Samaritan did. Rather than abandon those in need in times of crisis we are called to step up.
With all of this in mind, we want you to know that we are following the advice of the CDC and taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. This includes disinfecting our offices continually throughout the day, declining handshakes, and keeping the recommended 6-foot distance between people (social distancing) and limiting our attendance at non-essential public activities and gatherings.
We are also pleased to offer confidential video services through Zoom and if needed phone consultations for those who are concerned about getting out in public or have a health condition that would prevent them from coming in for services. For more information please visit https://www.cssrapidcity.com/telehealth.
While we urge you to take appropriate precautions, we do not think panic or failure to receive appropriate support or services is the best course of action. Catholic Social Services professionals and support staff invite you to call us if we can be of help to you or if you need help to access our services through teleconferencing or phone consultation. We’re here to help you. Thank you for taking the time to read this important message.
Be assured of our availability, prayers and support during this time of uncertainty!
